This time Mel did feel a little heat rising, but it was nothing to do with embarrassment, and all to do with his hand on her shoulder. It seemed to trigger the memory of the kiss, and how good that felt and she ducked her head a little before clearing her throat and calling out, "catch you 'round," over her shoulder at him. She gave him a smile and wink, before enjoying watching his ass as he walked away from them.
Once he was gone she turned to Maddy. "Okay, now you spill, what's the goss on whatever it was that happened there, with this Valerie? And what were you two talking about that ended up with them fighting?"
