She wasn't sure why he touched her sleeve, and her eyes darted up to his face again. "How did you know?" she asked. It had only been recently that she'd started to even use any of her magic outside the store, and she stifled a smile at the expression on Maddie's face when she'd done the little bit of levitation with the straw in the diner. Her mother had made it clear she should be very very careful about who knew her abilities, as she didn't want to attract the wrong people, or end up being accused of things she didn't do, just because of what she could do.
"Have you been to the store?" she asked. She again couldn't remember having seen him before, and she normally remembered faces. And again, his was rather memorable. Even almost as much as the bunny's. Though hopefully his nose didn't twitch as much. She suddenly found herself staring at his nose.
