The Good Neighbor Policy

"God, you're good..."
It was a groan, and Nathan rolled to the other side of the bed to take up space on the sweat-damp sheets. He let out a shaky breath as he shoved hair out of his face. There were scratches on his back.
"Holy hell." Julianna was still catching her breath, and it came out as a purr. She had a fresh bite on the side of her neck, which meant she'd be wearing a scarf to class the next day. Her muscles were loose and relaxed.
She watched him gather himself, then sit up to let his legs dangle over the edge of the mattress. She touched the small of his back, then reached over and turned on the table lamp. A yellow glow illuminated the bedroom, lighting his way to the adjoining bathroom.
"Are you all right? I didn't bite you too hard, did I?"
