He cleared his throat. “I uh… well, she’s a piece of work,” he said. “We’re not close. I went down kicking and screaming and I think she’s had second thoughts. But I don’t know. Maybe she’s always like this with her offspring.”
Had Deanna procreated as a human? He had limited knowledge of the life that came before Deanna was a vampire, but based on her personality in death, he hoped she hadn’t. Poor little bastards.
