"Ewwwww, Maddy, gross!" Melody let out the exclamation and giggle at the grossness before she had the sense to stop it, her hand flying to her mouth when she was so loud it could be clearly heard by the three standing with her.

She died a little inside, again, and not for the first time felt weirdly uncomfortable, and completely aware of her inability to actually have conversations that conveyed any sort of intelligence at all. She curled her toes inside her boots, an act that reminded her how squashed they had been just a few minutes ago and brought her back to earth with speed.
